History of the British Transport Advisory Consortium

Since 1965, BTAC has diversified from the founding engineering members, drawn from the UK based brewing companies. Members shared their expertise and resources to provide to one another engineering solutions arising from their daily work.

BTAC flourishes today by having expanding this original theme, through independent field trials to provide a structured voice of assessment to the road freight and logistics industry.

Today, not all its members are fleet engineers, but a diverse group of professionals from the industry as a whole. Independence is carefully maintained by restricting membership from any individual company.

BTAC’s assessments and knowledge have been published world wide, for the benefit of all in the industry.
